Flirting with Fame

For starters,

I cannot and will not try to compete with my friend Jeff with regard to flirting with famous people. He wins. Hands down. I will push back a tiny bit. Astronaut Buzz Aldrin was the commencement speaker at my college graduation. Wasn't he "up there" with Jeff's astronaut? I digress.

Probably around 1969,

My friends and I were in a booth at Lou & Hy's, wolfing down the complementary pickles and waiting for a slice of NY style cheesecake. There was a buzz from an adjoining booth. Could it possibly be? YES! In the booth was none other than Gisele Mackenzie and her entourage! Katie, bar the door!

Too bad she never landed on the moon or I would have pulled even with Jeff for brushes with stardom!
